She hides concealed, behind a mask of tears,
Hidden away from all that she fears,
Music, a passion a drug a life
A savior to keep her mind away from that fight...
The Battle she struggles to hide from each day
No shield to protect her all she can do is play
Songs of sorrow each night but no one can hear,
Every note brings depression but leaves but a tear
The sun later awakens, screams echo through halls
The fight starts once more, more uninvited tears fall
Falling back in the shadows, fading out of sight
until later she knows, will come the safety of night
And dark falls once more, the shouts fade away
The scars start to heal from the notes that she plays
